Capture all your favorite shows on DVD with the DR787T. This deck records both analog and standard-definition digital TV broadcasts without the need for a separate set-top box. Use its built-in tuner to watch and record unscrambled digital cable channels, or connect an antenna for free over-the-air digital broadcasts — in standard definition. Either way, you'll enjoy crisp, clean TV images. And since the tuner is built-in, the signal remains digital the whole way through, for the most precise DVD recordings. The DR787T also creates thumbnail images for each show you record, making it a cinch to sort through the contents of the discs you create. Auto chapter marking rounds out this recorder's impressive capabilities.

Product Review:
We purchased this player for the dual purpose of playing British Region 2 music DVDs, and Historic European Art DVDs. So we have a double use for two different classes - two contexts. I'm a music professor and we have been very pleased with the performance of the World Clad codefree modification. We just put in the DVD and it performs all the conversions from Region 2 and from PAL to NTSC. There is no adjustment necessary. One other feature we like about this LG DVD player in particular is that there are 5 different fast forward speeds available (which helps when teaching a class). The unit works fine with no problems.
