It also supports output to a television through a composite video output as well as digital audio output through an optical port that can send Dolby Digital, DTS and PCM audio straight to any home theater device.

Digital Video Interface
Used by newer HDTV set-top boxes and DVD players, the DVI-HDCP connection allows the transmission of uncompressed, copy-protected digital content to your high definition display with stunning image fidelity and clarity. The DVI-HDCP interface is not intended for use with a personal computer, and is designed for best performance with HDTV signals, such as 1080i or 720p picture signals. The DVI/HDCP input will also accept and display 480i and 480p picture signals.

Important Notice about TV Compatibility - Please Read
This player can play PAL discs on a NTSC TV but CANNOT play NTSC discs on a PAL TV. For example, if you live in the USA you will be able to play PAL region 2 discs from Europe on your US NTSC TV, BUT if you live in Europe you will not be able to watch American NTSC discs on your PAL TV.
