Nordost Optix
High-Grade Composite Video Cable
Key Features
The Optix 75 Ohm composite video cable is an exciting, new, high performance video interconnect cable from Nordost. Optix uses our new Micro Monofilament technology to minimize the dielectric effect on the signal. In addition the center conductor is silver plated for very low signal attenuation. This design maintains low capacitance and delivers a very high speed signal. Each Optix maintains an exact 75 Ohm impedance and is terminated with a dedicated Nordost 75 Ohm gold plated phono plugs. The cable uses dual layers of shielding to ensure absolute signal integrity. The result is a cable which delivers higher resolution, improved detail and more accurate color information than any other cable on the market.
Nordost Optix has impressive specifications for such a low profile cable, at only 4mm in diameter the Optix can be run in tight spaces. Because it is an extruded TeflonŽ construction, Optix video cable can be buried directly in the ground making it the perfect choice for use with satellite and DSS systems. The signal loss for this cable is less than -0.9dB at 1 Megahertz and less than -1.1dB at 5 Megahertz over 30 meters (100ft.)
Optix video cable is available terminated with either Nordost dedicated 75 Ohm RCA plugs or BNC connectors for data grade applications.
